"The Things We Do For Bruce"
The Things We Do for Bruce will be a documentary about the joy, sacrifice, obsession, and meaning that lives in this global community. And we need your help to make it happen. With your support, we’ll travel to meet the fans who’ve seen Bruce hundreds of times, those who found healing through his lyrics, and people who fell in love in the pit. This isn’t just a concert doc. It’s a celebration of everything Bruce stands for — resilience, passion, unity. So if Bruce has meant something to you, please back the film, tell your story, and help us bring it to life.
“This project is a fan initiative and is not affiliated with Bruce Springsteen, the E Street Band, or their official management. It’s made by fans, for fans.”

Call To Action !
We Need Your Stories
Upload your, stories below and become part of the global Bruce fan archive. This project isn’t just about Bruce — it’s about you. The journeys, the madness, the joy, the heartbreak, the sheer lengths you’ve gone to be part of something bigger. The crazier, the better! We can't do this without you!
From Roll Call To Road Trips
Where Springsteen & I celebrated love for Bruce, The Things We Do for Bruce will be all about the live experience — and why we endure the Roll Calls, the rain, and the bank drafts just to be there when The Boss takes the stage. I've had my fair share of adventures on tour, i'm sure you guys have as well.
Can't Beat Seeing Him Live
From Your Hometown to the Big Screen
Our vision is to tell these stories with the same energy and authenticity that Bruce brings to the stage. We’ll follow fans across time zones and generations, capturing the mad scrambles for front-row spots, the road trips, the camp-outs — but also the quieter moments of reflection, grief, love, and hope that Springsteen’s music so often unlocks.
The most powerful, emotional, or outlandish stories may earn a visit from our film crew. We’ll come to your hometown, capture your journey on camera, and feature you in the film. This is your moment. Let’s make fan history together, look at this as a moving image version of Bruce's Song book.

“Tell It Like It Is – We Want the Die Hard Stories”
Over the years I’ve heard some pretty whacky stories from you fans out there. Some ranging from the inspirational to the far out nutty. You are a mixed bunch, a lot like the characters from his songs, me included, except I wouldn’t know a carburetor from a spark plug, so no chance of me selling my Challenger, although I’ve let loose with plenty of secrets after a night on the Makers.
I want to keep this film as raw as I can, in that I don’t want to portray a false or glossed out narrative but rather expose out true motivations for our commitments to see Bruce live. Look at this as the Nebraska of Bruce fan docos rather than the Born In The USA, although I do love that album.
Feel free to bare your souls in your tales and be re assured that we will not release any of them without your prior knowledge. What we need to do at this pre production stage is to collect engaging narratives that we can turn into narrative gold and motivate any potential backers and plan our shoots around.
Eventually I would like to fill this forum with your stories and then we will make a plan of action!

The Spark That Started It All

It was while I was getting a head scan, a day before the second night in San Sebastian, after a scuffle with a would-be wallet snatcher left me & my good friend with a head injury and shiner, that I finally decided to kick start this project. Incidentally, it was the same night and the same hospital where Little Stevie was undergoing his emergency appendix operation — a moment of strange coincidence that cemented the idea in my mind.
I’ve been following Bruce for decades, but I’m the first to admit I’m nowhere near as die-hard as some of you — I’ve met you! That said, I’ve certainly made my share of sacrifices for The Boss, and San Sebastian wasn’t the first time I shed blood on tour.
This project is inspired by both my own experiences and those of the incredible fans I’ve met along the way. And its title — The Things We Do for Bruce — comes from a phrase that me and my fellow Springsteeners have used countless times on the road, usually after another wild, exhausting, and unforgettable moment.

Rock on Bruce" 🤘
I intend to film fan events this year while we collect fan stories and next year, me and my team will start planning pre-production and then start to raise funds for the actual shoot.
As for my background, I’ve spent more than two decades telling stories that connect audiences with the music and artists they love — whether through long-form documentaries, festival coverage, or directing artist profiles and news features.
I’ve worked with artists from Oasis, Blur, Britney Spears, Shakira, Robbie Williams, and David Bowie to Suede, U2, and yes, even The Boss (although I didn’t get to interview him on that shoot — still hoping to meet him “across the river” one day).
This project is the culmination of my experience as a storyteller and my lifelong admiration for the power of music — and the people it moves.
